The 2022 Desert Foot Returns to Live-In Person After Virtual COVID Hiatus
The 19th Annual Desert Foot Conference Co-Chaired by Drs Charles Andersen, Lawrence Lavery, Matthew Garoufalis, and Thomas Serena led an esteemed faculty of 42 key opinion leaders over four days of knowledge sharing and learning at its long-time home base in Phoenix, Arizona. The hundreds of Desert Foot attendees were exposed to evidence-based and best practices to improve limb salvage, advanced wound care techniques and treat surgical and medical disorders of the lower limb. The 14 rotating hands-on-workshops were overflowing with attendees. The Grand Sponsor was 3M along with 69 other industry participants.
The winner of the 2022 Paul Brand Award was Giacomo Clerici, MD of Milan, Italy. He is a Professor at the Master in Wound Care Program (Bicocca University, Milan, Tor Vergata University, Rome, Pavia University, Trieste University).
This program supported clinicians in identifying the most common and atypical lower extremity etiologies and discuss appropriate assessment and treatment interventions for each type of wound including arterial and venous insufficiency, lymphedema, and diabetic foot ulcers.

Shylaja Arya, RN
I found the whole experience very professional and educational. I gained greater insight into areas of wound care that will only help to enhance my practice. I would recommend this course to be taken by all podiatrists.
D Mark Harker, DPM
Present Podiatry goes through great effort to host relevant lectures and exhibits as I experienced at Desert Foot 2022. Lectures, workshops and exhibitors all provided attendees state of the art information. Thoughtful planning also provided attendees with world class hotel accommodations at nominal cost. Thank you also to the dedicated hardworking staff that made the total program run flawless.
